High molecular weight hyaluronic acid, For older and performing horses
Hyaluronic acid (HA) occurs naturally in high concentrations in, among other things, articular cartilage and synovial fluid in animals and humans, where it has an important lubricating and shock-absorbing effect. With increased load, such as hard training or in older horses, the amount of HA can decrease and the synovial fluid then thins out. As the viscosity decreases, the synovial fluid loses its protective and shock-absorbing function. The viscosity increases again at rest, but if the recovery time becomes too short, the joint is loaded at the next training session and the training can then cause injury.
HA is added to restore the viscous, protective consistency of the synovial fluid and the joint is protected. In the intestine there are specific receptors that transport hyaluronic acid to the blood and carry it on to the joints. The size of the hyaluronic acid molecule controls the effect in the joint, the larger the molecule the better.
The hyaluronic acid molecule in Eclipse Biofarmabs BioLuron is of very high quality and has a size of 1,300,000 Da, which is a very large molecule. Daily supply of hyaluronic acid (high molecular weight) in the feed of competition horses has been shown to have positive effects in maintaining normal joint function.

The first 10 days
Horse: 20 ml morning and evening
Pony: 10 ml morning and evening
Then 20 ml / day for horse and 10 ml / day for pony.
Mix well in the concentrate and shake before use.
